So one of the indulgences I allow myself is a daily spoonful
of creamy hazelnutty-chocolatly goodness that many people prefer to slather on
toast. I say, begone bread and dig in man! Now, this is a fairly recent practise of mine
having being introduced to the wonderfulness of Nutella "au naturel" by a friend
of mine who, at the time, was nursing a broken heart…I must be honest, I cringed
a little when she told me she ate the rich velvety mahogany substance by the spoonful.
But, thanks to my dad, I had for sometime enjoyed peanut butter in this way, so
one day at the grocery store I picked up a jar to give it a try. Personally, I
think this is the only way Nutella should be enjoyed. I’ve tried it in gelato,
on bread, and even baked a cake with it but nothing retains its integrity in
taste and consistency as does savouring it one spoonful at a time. If I did a remake
of Mary Poppins I would have her sing, “A spoonful of Nutella makes everything
go down in the most delightful way”.

Ok, so it was time...
For several years people have asked me to start posting my original ideas online. But I'm one of those people who after I've done something I rarely repeat it again...well not when it comes to food, or fun experiences, travel destinations, or books...actually this only applies to craft projects. However, I am more than happy to pass along my ideas for others to use, so please enjoy and have fun!

On any occasion, these little beauts are both adorably cute and delectably delicious.

Bee-Attitudes - Matthew 5
So here is an example of one of the kid's "Bee-Attitude" Hives. We wrapped and glued strips of burlap around a 10 oz foam cup. Then we made bees from small tongue depressors, googly eyes and some extra window screening that I had saved for a time such as this. The finger in the picture belongs to my friend Susan and the ficus, to another friend, Crystal.
